Super-automatic Double-Carriage Tyre Changer for Wheels of Heavy Vehicles up to 60"
The MM DUO S is the super-automatic tyre changer designed for heavy vehicle wheels. It features a self-centering chuck with four jaws and extended arms (750 mm) for a secure grip on rims from 11” to 46”, extendable to 60”, operating via a high-pressure hydraulic circuit (up to 150 bar). The double carriage system allows independent right-left translational movements of both the tool-holder arm and chuck carriages, making it easier to handle large wheels. The fully automatic tool-holder arm offers precise elevation and rotation, ensuring maximum strength with its 100 mm diameter arm, the largest in its category. The low-voltage portable control unit is easily movable and prevents accidental operations with an ergonomic layout of levers, buttons, and pedals. It includes a stand-by function and emergency button for added safety.
The Megamount DUO S is available in three versions: standard with cable-controlled commands, with radio-controlled commands and with aerial commands.
The self-centering chuck has 4 jaws with grooves and a locking capacity from 11” to 46”. Working capacity can be increased up to 60” using the optional extensions. The special shape of the jaws with 4 grooves and the 750 mm extended arms ensure a perfect clamping of any type of rim. Teflon pads integrated on the vertical support as standard. Two rotation speeds in two directions. The self-centering chuck operates by means of a high pressure hydraulic circuit to handle all types of steel and alloy rims and adjustable up to 150 bar.
The tool holder arm and the chuck carriages have completely independent right-left translational movements to facilitate wheel mounting operations, also assisting in the handling of very large wheels. Both movements with double speed. The tool-holder arm elevation and rotation are fully automatic. The extra-large arm with 100 mm diameter (the largest in its category) ensures maximum strength in all situations, while the ability to lower the tool’s nail expands the working area.
The machine is equipped with a low voltage portable control unit, easily movable inside the working area. The rational lay-out of control levers, buttons and pedals prevents the operator from making accidental operational errors. Equipped with stand-by function and emergency button as standard. Double speed switch selector of the self-centering chuck always optional.
